With the amount of healthcare providers in need of keeping their certifications up-to-date, or student nurses who need to get a brand new BLS certification, Dr J CPR USA is now accepting new students for its online BLS courses.
At Dr. J CPR USA, we are providing blended courses. The first part consists of the video lessons and the exam. You can complete these lessons online from your home, and take the exam as many times as needed to pass. Once you pass the exam, you will get an American Heart Association certificate of completion. You then take that certificate of completion to any AHA certified instructor to perform your in-person skills tests. This is required by the American Heart Association for you to get your card.
If you are local to Miami-Dade County or Broward County, and you want Dr. Jay to perform your in-person skills session at his office, the cost is $65. We are only accepting 1-4 students at a time to accommodate for social distancing, and you must make an appointment. No walk-ins during this pandemic are allowed.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! In order to work in a hospital setting, your BLS provider card must be an official American Heart Association card, otherwise, it will not be accepted. We have seen way too many students come to us saying that they have spent money on the “equivalent to” imitations only to find out that the hospital did not accept it because the card did not say American Heart Association on it. These “equivalent to” imitations are in fact legitimate courses, but they are not American Heart Association courses. Thus, you will have to spend more money to get the right certification and the right BLS provider card in order to work in a hospital setting. PLEASE! Do not let this scam happen to you!
